A Post Graduate in Modern English and Journalism, I have spent many years working as a journalist, author, phonics teacher and latterly, senior school exclusions specialist. 

At present, I teach across all disciplines and Key stages. My current students range from age 7- 18, across all abilities. The one common factor they have is just needing that extra bit of help, encouragement and general mentoring.

All exclusion and specialist care children are offered a tailored package of learning in accordance with their specific needs.

Our first meeting always serves as an assessment of the child's academic abilities and requirements. Their subsequent progress plan takes the pattern of their learning constraints and available time frames to make the educational experience as pleasant for them as possible.  A huge amount of fun is always guaranteed during each learning session - as I wholeheartedly believe this is one of the best ways to ensure information is readily processed.  Enjoyment is the key!
